The clouds we’ve seen this week will part and a mostly sunny, warmer day is in the forecast throughout the region.
We’ll see gusty winds today throughout the valley and mountain areas of L.A. and Ventura counties, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a red flag warning beginning at 9 a.m. today until 6 p.m. Saturday. In the Inland Empire, the warning is in effect from the San Bernardino Mountains into the valley areas today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Gusty winds combined with low humidity means an increase in fire danger so L.A.’s red flag parking restrictions are in effect beginning at 8 a.m. If you park in the hilly or mountainous areas of the city, make sure to check the parking signs.
It’ll be in the upper 70’s today throughout the L.A. Basin and in Orange County. Valley areas will be bit higher, reaching the low 80s. Up and down the coast it’ll be a mild and sunny day with a high of 75 degrees. Overnight temperatures will dip into the upper 50s and low 60s.
