Wade Major
Wade Major is presently editor-in-chief of entertainment site CineGods.com and co-host/producer of the DigiGods podcast. Previously Senior Film Critic at Boxoffice Magazine, his work has been featured in such publications as the Los Angeles Times, the New York Daily News, People.com and ABCNews.com. He has authored and contributed to a variety of books on Hong Kong Cinema (e.g. "Jackie Chan," "Hollywood East") as well as the anthology "Brian De Palma: Interviews," and recorded dozens of DVD and Blu-ray audio commentaries for such films as Takashi Miike's "Gozu," the cult classic "Master of the Flying Guillotine," Andre Techiné's "Barocco" and "The Brontë Sisters," James Ivory’s "Howards End" and Costa-Gavras' "Amen." As a filmmaker, he produced the award-winning documentary "Schlock: The Secret History of American Movies," and served as executive producer of the award-winning "Refugee," which was short-listed for the 92nd Academy Awards. He is also writer/producer of the forthcoming feature film "Buzz," based on the unpublished memoirs of legendary Hollywood filmmaker Busby Berkeley. He holds a degree in film/television from UCLA.
